Welcome Josh Prokopy

Meet Vermont Parks Forever's new Program & Development Specialist: Josh Prokopy.

Josh grew up in rural Western Massachusetts but spent the last 22 years in Indiana before returning to New England last year.

With Master’s degrees in Sociology and Social Work, Josh spent his early career in affordable housing. After taking a ten-year career break to raise his children, he returned to the workforce as a non-profit event planner and grant writer. He’s thrilled to be in Vermont now and looks forward to helping his fellow Vermonters discover the beauty of our state parks through administering our Park Access Fund.

When he’s not working, Josh loves hiking, biking, kayaking, cross country skiing, reading books, brewing beer, and spending time with his family.
