Consultant, adviser and investor Max Engel of Manchester has joined the board of directors at Vermont Parks Forever(link is external), an organization dedicated to enhancing and protecting Vermont's 55 state parks.
Engel is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast who enjoys exploring Vermont state parks. Growing up, he spent 11 summers as a camper and counselor at a summer camp in New England, where he learned to appreciate the simple power of spending time outside.
In his professional life, Engel has worked as a technology executive at numerous companies. He is also an investor in several startups, a mentor with the Robin Hood Foundation’s accelerator, and a fellow at the Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center at Columbia Business School.
“I truly see it as an obligation and privilege to serve the needs of the parks,” Engel said.
“The mission of VPF resonated deeply with me, and I’m excited to bring my passion for conservation, education and equitable access to resources to the board.”
Vermont Parks Forever board members serve three-year terms and devote a couple of hours each month to furthering VPF's mission.
