Past Projects

Stone Hut Project

In late December, 2015, fire destroyed Mount Mansfield’s Stone Hut, which had served for nearly 80 years as a shelter for winter recreation enthusiasts. With the help of Vermont Parks Forever, the beautifully restored Stone Hut was re-opened.

Legacy Gifts of Land

Vermont Parks Forever helped manage legacy gifts of land to open two new state parks: Muckross State Park in Springfield in 2016 and Taconic Mountains Ramble State Park in Hubbardton in 2017.

Natural Connections 

Every year, Vermont Parks Forever helps to fund interpretive programming materials for use in nature education programming throughout the state park system. For a list of past funding, check out our blog post below.
