Molly Rand
St. Albans
Molly is originally from Connecticut, but fell in love with Vermont early on through ski trips in her youth. She was thrilled to make Vermont her home in 2021 when she moved with her husband and became the Education and Events Manager at Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility. She now advances socially responsible business practices by creating interdisciplinary educational opportunities and planning various networking and special events across the state.
Prior to her time in Vermont, Molly spent five years in Colorado working as a program and volunteer coordinator at nonprofits serving low-income seniors and single-parent families experiencing homelessness. While in Colorado, Molly spent her free time camping, hiking, and snowboarding in the Rocky Mountains and driving as far as she could to the incredible national parks of the West. She also spent a year in the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps where she worked on projects including trail work in Modoc National Forest, forest fire remediation in Oregon, and disaster relief operations for the Flint, Michigan water crisis.
Now based in St. Albans, Molly spends her free time hiking or skijoring with her favorite adventure buddy (her dog Franny), seeking out new kayaking spots, and camping with friends. She believes deeply in the importance of building community and striving to leave a positive impact on the world.
