Manchester

Max came to Vermont in 2017 and joined the board in 2022. He spent 11 summers attending and then working at a camp in Maine, where he developed his love of the outdoors. He grew up in McLean, Virginia, and graduated from Yale University with a degree in Psychology in 2006. After college, Max began his career in tech, working for companies like Myspace, the BBC, and SPIN Magazine, which took him to Los Angeles and then to New York City. He now runs his own consulting practice from his home in Manchester, Vermont.

Beyond work, Max serves as a Fellow at Columbia Business School’s Entrepreneurship Center and the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards. He also volunteers as a mentor for the Robin Hood Foundation’s tech accelerator and the Rural Innovation Mentor Network.

Depending on the season, when Max isn’t trapped on Zoom calls, he likes to be indoors building LEGO sets or outdoors exploring different parts of the state with his camper, kayak, and dog.
